Aluminum core throughout the pan, not just on the base. This complete coverage allows even heat transfer while cooking and eliminates hot spots. Many brands have only an aluminum base.

The cooking surface is tough 18/10 stainless steel which won’t react with foods (acidic foods such as tomatoes can be problematic for aluminum cooking surfaces). The 304 grade stainless that All Clad uses has a higher nickel content than other lines which helps reduce chemical reactivity and increases corrosion resistance.

Elegant stay-cool polished stainless steel handles securely riveted to the cooking vessel.

All Clad lids are polished stainless steel with handles riveted in place.

The All Clad stainless line is compatible with virtually all cooking surfaces, including gas, electric and induction. (As of this writing, a few pieces do not support induction: 7 Qt. stockpot (pasta pentola as well), butter warmer, French oven and the roasting pans)

The All Clad stainless line is the only line that is officially recommended for dishwasher use, though All Clad recommends hand washing for nonstick pieces.
