Cookware buying tips.

If possible, it's highly recommended to start with a set. Some of the most commonly used pans are included and generally at a very large cost savings over buying individual pieces. For instance, All Clad Cookware Sets are approximately 1/3 cheaper than buying the pieces individually, plus retailers sometimes offer extra pieces as gifts with purchase of a set. Next, build by adding pieces over time that supplement the set. Frequently vendors have "try me" pieces to encourage first time buying, or adding to a set. These pieces are heavily discounted and make a great way to try a cookware line or supplement a set.

Cookware sets can be found at Chef's Resource, a great source for quality, hand-picked items for the serious home chef.
